GroupGemstone Announces Investment in DiCaprio/Winslet Film
GroupGemstone announced today that it has funded an investment in Revolutionary Road, a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
The film marks the first return of DiCaprio and Winslet to the screen together since their roles in Titanic and is based on the 1961 novel Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. The film will be distributed by DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures, in a partnership with BBC Films. Director Sam Mendes, best known for American Beauty, will direct. The film also stars David Harbour, Kathy Bates, Michael Shannon, and Zoe Kazan. Filming began in New York in June 2007, and the film is scheduled for release at either the Venice or Cannes film festival.
