Cloudmark Extends Market Leadership With Record Growth in 2007
GroupGemstone announced that one of its core investments, Cloudmark, Inc., the global leader in carrier-grade messaging security, had record growth in 2007 that further expanded the company's share of the service provider messaging security market. Cloudmark's revenue grew 70 percent during 2007 and the company added more than 40 new customers worldwide. In addition, Cloudmark achieved a 100 percent retention and licensing renewal rate from existing customers.

In addition to increasing its market share in the carrier-grade messaging security market, Cloudmark reached additional significant milestones that have extended the company's market lead over its competition. These include:
- Financials: Organically grew revenue 70 percent over FY 2006.
- Market Coverage: More than 300 million mailboxes protected globally; Cloudmark is now checking more than 4 billion messages daily.
- Penetration into New Markets: Since opening its European operations in 2006, Cloudmark has achieved significant customer wins in the UK, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. In addition, Cloudmark has gained several major mobile operator customers, protecting millions of mobile subscribers from SMS, MMS and mobile e-mail spam, phishing and viruses.
- Continued North American and Japanese Market Dominance: Cloudmark customers include 11 of the top 12 largest service providers in North America and 7 of the top 10 ISPs in Japan.
